Techstars Startup Weekend Returns to Port of Spain

Port of Spain, June 22, 2026Global Trinidad and Tobago (GlobalTT) is calling on entrepreneurs, creatives, business professionals, students, developers, marketers, legal professionals, and innovators to participate in the upcoming music focused Techstars Startup Weekend, from August 7 – 9, 2026. Techstars Startup Weekend is an immersive and intensive 54-hour entrepreneurial experience designed to transform ideas into viable business ventures.

Recognized globally as one of the leading entrepreneurship programmes, Techstars Startup Weekend provides a unique platform for participants to test ideas, validate business concepts, build valuable professional networks, and gain hands-on experience in startup development. It brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to collaborate, innovate, and develop solutions to real-world challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch ideas, form mixed teams, receive guidance from experienced mentors, and present their concepts to a panel of skilled judges and potential investors.

The Facilitator for Techstars Startup Weekend, POS 2026 is Curtis Michelson. Hailing from Orlando, Curtis has played every role in the startup ecosystem from mentor, to lecturer, judge, and facilitator. A seasoned entrepreneur and consultant, Curtis specializes in holding space for disruptive idea generation and validation. Curtis is a regular contributor to Innovation Leader magazine where he covers emerging AI developments across enterprise and government. He is also a regional manager for MindTheProduct, a global community of product managers.

Other key global partners for this initiative include Deel., Mercury, HSBC Innovation Banking, BREX and Google for Startups.

Participants are encouraged to register regardless of whether they have a music startup idea or not.
